PRE-FILING NOTICE
Petitions may be picked up at the City Hall beginning Tuesday, August 25, 2026, and circulation of petitions may begin immediately.
The City Hall for the City of Georgetown, located at 208 S. Walnut Street, Georgetown, Illinois will be open from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. beginning Monday, November 16, 2026, through Friday, November 20, 2026, and 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Monday, November 23, 2026, for the purpose of accepting candidate petitions for the Consolidated Election to be held Tuesday, April 6, 2027, for the following offices:
One Alderman Ward 1 full four-year term,
One Alderman Ward 2 full four-year term,
One Alderman Ward 3 full four-year term,
One Aldermen Ward 4 full four-year term.
Should a simultaneous filing lottery or lotteries be necessary, the lottery will be scheduled for Tuesday, November 24, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
